Available Health Support From Afar…
What is Virtual Service?
Podium Sports Therapy & Wellness Centre is now offering online Services (Physiotherapy, Athletic Therapy, Functional Medicine & Nutrition) to meet our community's need for online health solutions.
What is a virtual visit?
Virtual therapy gives you all the wonderful service you’ve been used to at Podium, but available now in an online environment. Virtual service combines clinical care and professional collaboration through digital technologies enabling clients to call or video chat with healthcare practitioners using your computers or mobile devices. Virtual therapy helps to ensure that clients are able to access quality care, providing you with the tools, information and support you need to live healthier and happier lives. We educate and empower you with home care tools like self mobilization techniques, strength, mobility & rehabilitative exercises to help you with your health, from anywhere.
Who is virtual therapy for?
These visits are for anyone who can not make it to the clinic for an in-person appointment. This could include (but is not limited to):
New mom's trying to juggle newborn's schedules with daily life
Professionals whom are stuck at the office and can't get away for an hour
Someone living in a remote community with no local clinic to attend
Weather limitations
Living in a community, in Ontario, with limited resources or specific services
Covid-19 pandemic, where distancing is required
There will always remain circumstances where an in person visit is required, however research is continuing to show us that virtual visits can address and treat your needs, to the same level of care, that an in person session can.
What services can I receive virtually?
You can receive many of our services virtually:
Physiotherapy
Athletic Therapy
Pre and post surgical intervention
Concussion Rehabilitation
Functional Medicine
Nutrition Assessments & Plans
Counselling Services & Psychotherapy
Will my insurance Cover virtual sessions?
Many insurance companies will cover virtual appointments. We recommend contacting them directly to see if your particular plan will cover the desired service prior to booking an appointment. An invoice will be provided following the session and a follow up appointment can be scheduled.
Payment information will need to be provided for any uncovered balances.
If you are a Motor Vehicle Accident patient you will want to discuss your treatment with your case manager and see if they will accept virtual visits. Our providers will discuss details with them if needed.
